Approval Process

Planning & Zoning Division


Planning and Zoning reviews the application to ensure that each business is in the appropriate zoning district. Upon approval of the city application, the planner approves the municipal zoning for the Palm Beach County Business Tax Receipt.

Fire Department


A Life Safety inspection is conducted at the end of the Business Tax Receipt process for commercial businesses to ensure that the business location is safe and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
 

Business Services Coordinator


The Business Services Coordinator reviews the application to ensure that all required documents and applicable licenses are provided at the time of submittal. At the end of the process they mail the city Business Tax Receipt, along with the signed application for the Palm Beach County Business Tax Receipt, to the business. The business is then responsible for applying for the County Business Tax Receipt.

Code Enforcement


Code Enforcement ensures each business is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and inspections.
