The City of Palm Beach Gardens encourages its residents to get prepared for the 2017 hurricane season by attending its Weather the Storm readiness event! City staff and community organizations will team up to make sure the community is informed and prepared for the upcoming hurricane season. This family-friendly event will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Veterans Plaza Amphitheater at 10500 N. Military Trail.

Weather the Storm is free to the public and will feature demonstrations, informational booths and presentations from government and non-profit organizations. Learn what the City does during a storm event to keep you safe and get tips from staff on keeping your family and property safe. A multifaceted emergency management presentation will be given on the plaza stage at 6:30 p.m., and will repeat at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enter their name into a drawing for various preparedness related supplies including a grand prize of a PowerStroke 6,000-watt portable generator generously sponsored by Ceres Environmental Services. Food will be available for purchase from Crayzlicious and Kona Ice.
