The Traffic Division consists of two Sergeants, six Motorcycle Officers, four Crash Investigators, and one D.U.I. Officer. Their primary responsibility is traffic enforcement, with a special focus on key accident and high volume locations, as well as efforts to deter impaired and aggressive drivers.
The Traffic Division also offers the following services and programs:
Education in high schools on the prevention of Drinking and Driving.
 Child car seat installation .
Traffic studies.
Traffic calming evaluations.
D.U.I. checkpoints and enforcement.
R.A.D.I.C.A.L. (Reduce Aggressive Driving in Critical Accident Location)
Keep Kids Alive, Drive 25 – Neighborhood traffic calming program.
Buckle Up Program.
Operation Safe Gates – Railroad crossing enforcement.
School zone and bus enforcement.
Vehicle safety inspections.
