Call to Artists.

  1. Want to design our next GreenMarket bag? The City of Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Department is seeking artists from the Palm Beach County area to submit original designs that capture the essence of The Gardens GreenMarket. Tote bags will be distributed at The Gardens GreenMarket Anniversary Celebration. To be considered, please fill out this form by August 1, 2023. 

    TIMELINE: 

    • Artist Application Deadline – Tuesday, August 1, 2023
    • Artist Notification – Wednesday, August 9, 2023
    • Preliminary Sketch Due – Friday, August 25, 2023
    • Final Artwork Due – Monday, September 25, 2023
    • Tote distribution – Sunday, January 14, 2024

    RULES FOR ENTRY:

    • Prospective artists are required to provide three (3) images of their past artwork in any medium to be considered.
    • Artist must be 18 years of age and reside in Palm Beach County.
    • The tote design must capture the essence of The Gardens GreenMarket. Artists can use elements from The Gardens GreenMarket logo, the “Food, Music, Shopping, & MORE” campaign, or the market site itself, for example.
    • Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing. No words, symbols or logos intended as advertising may appear within the tote design. Additionally, the image should be appropriate for viewing by people of all ages – so no profanity, political commentary, nudity, or adult content is allowed. 

    COMPENSATION & RECOGNITION:

    The selected artist will receive a compensation of $1,000, a GreenMarket tote, and the following opportunities:

    • Social media recognition on The Gardens GreenMarket Facebook page and the City of Palm Beach Gardens Instagram and Twitter pages
    • Featured on The Gardens GreenMarket webpage
    • Recognition during The Gardens GreenMarket Anniversary Opening Ceremony
    • One 10x10 vendor space at The Gardens GreenMarket Anniversary Celebration
