To qualify to become a certified police officer with the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department, you must:

• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Be at least 19 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license
• Be in good physical health 
• Meet minimum standards for vision and hearing
• Be of good moral character
• Have a stable work record
• Not have any convictions as an adult of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude
• Have a passing score on the Florida Police Officers Certification Examination by date of hire
