American Red Cross Lifeguard Training & Administering Emergency Oxygen (Ages 15 & Up)
This lifeguard course is a blended course which requires a combination of online learning and in person skills. Online learning must be completed prior to first day of class and the completion page must be presented to the instructor. Skills and knowledge necessary to respond to aquatic emergencies are covered, including first aid and CPR for the professional rescuer. Students who pass the class receive a certificate valid for two years.
Students must be at least 15 years old before course completion (no exceptions).
Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl or breaststroke; swim 20 yards, dive 7-10 feet, retrieve 10 pound brick, surface and then swim 20 yards back to starting point and exit the water without use of ladder or stairs; tread water two minutes.
