Mobility In the Gardens
Over the years, the City has been researching and conducting studies related to various modes of transportation in the City. For decades the City of Palm Beach Gardens has anticipated the construction of a Tri-Rail station within the vicinity of PGA Boulevard and the FEC Railway. To fund the design of the station and the area surrounding this location, the City applied for grant funding through the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority. The grant is geared toward supporting economic development, ridership, multi-modal connectivity and accessibility, increasing transit access for pedestrians and bicycles, and reviewing land use patterns near transit stations.
Recently, as a separate but related process, the City has been conducting a study to develop a Mobility Plan to encourage the use of various modes of transportation systems within the City.
As a part of the grant process, public involvement was included as a key component. Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and City Staff coordinated Mobility and Station Area Master Plan Workshops, a morning session for the Business Community and an evening session for the public. Please click on the links below to see the Presentations from these Workshops.
Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council conducted a Work In Progress presentation to the City Council as a follow up to the information gathered at the workshops. The Work In Progress presentation took place Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 6:00pm. Please click here for the agenda.
