[ARCHIVED] Hood Road Improvements Planned for Upcoming Development Project

hazard cones

The City of Palm Beach Gardens would like to notify residents that a permit has been issued by Palm Beach County for a contractor to conduct roadway improvements on Hood Road immediately west of Florida’s Turnpike beginning the week of July 24, 2017. These improvements are necessary to provide legal access to a parcel that has been approved for the construction of 50 town home units for a community to be known as Trevi Isle.

In order to correct the grade of the approach to the bridge at this location, crews will raise the elevation of the road approaching the bridge. This will require the construction of two temporary lanes south of the existing lanes to divert traffic until bridge work can be completed. Hood Road will remain open to traffic during this six-month construction period. All construction will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. per Palm Beach County Code.

For additional information regarding this project, please contact Candice Temple, Public Media Relations Manager at 561-799-4152.
