With a groundbreaking ceremony held this month, construction of a new building for Fire Station 2 is officially underway! This state-of-the art station will enable staff to perform their duties in a more expedient manner to better serve residents. In addition, the station will be able to house more apparatus to keep up with growth in Palm Beach Gardens. The new design will take the facility from a two story to a one story building, ensuring the safety of medical staff.
The existing Fire Station 2 was built in 1987. The new 9,000 square foot facility will be built to LEED specifications at a cost of $2,545,000.00. There will be no loss of service for the station during the eight months of construction.
