On June 8, 2015, at 11:04 pm, a vehicle driving recklessly and speeding northbound on Military
Trail from PGA Blvd caught the attention of a Palm Beach Gardens police officer on patrol in
that area. The subject vehicle was travelling at approximately 90 mph. The officer notified
dispatch of the reckless driver and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. The subject vehicle
turned east on Kyoto Gardens, then north on Alternate A1A, running the red light at Kyoto
Gardens and Alternate A1A. The driver continued north on Alternate A1A to Florida Blvd then
turned east on Florida Blvd. Initial indications are that the officer attempted a traffic stop by
activating his siren at about the time the subject turned onto Florida Blvd. Shortly thereafter, the
officer reported that the subject vehicle had crashed.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the crash investigation.
