[ARCHIVED] Upcoming FDOT Road and Lane Closures

pbg-road closure-01

The Florida Department of Transportation has announced the following temporary road and lane closures for the week of August 6, 2018.

The I-95 northbound exit ramp to eastbound PGA Boulevard will have one lane and the shoulder closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday night, Aug. 6, for drilled shaft installation operations.

The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from westbound PGA Boulevard will undergo a full closure, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night, Aug. 7, for drilled shaft installation operations. Work is expected to last one night; however, should inclement weather or unforeseen delays affect the schedule, work will continue each consecutive night (through Thursday night) until completed.

Motorists may detour by continuing westbound on PGA Blvd. to Military Trail, turning right, and heading northbound on Military Trail to access the I-95 entrance ramp. Once this work is completed, the I-95 southbound exit ramp to westbound PGA Boulevard may have one lane and the shoulder closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday night, Aug. 8 through Friday morning, Aug. 10. Please note, if the full closure is delayed, work will not begin at this location until the full closure/drilled shaft installation is completed. For more information, please contact Community Outreach Specialist Meredith Cruz at 561-641-6440.

Construction on this 0.02-mile project began Monday, July 9, in the City of Palm Beach Gardens. Work consists of replacing six (6) of the existing high mast light poles with a new LED lighting system at the I-95 interchange at PGA Boulevard, including two (2) lights on both the westbound PGA Boulevard to I-95 northbound entrance ramp and the I-95 southbound exit ramp, and one (1) light on each of the I-95 northbound exit ramps to PGA Boulevard. The estimated construction cost is $424,445. Work is being performed by Arc Electric, Inc. and is expected to be completed early winter 2019.
