This friendly group includes some remarkable athletes, as anyone who has tried a sport wheelchair will understand. USPTA Elite Professional Jim Tierney orchestrates play, which can include a round of Up-Down or Running and Rolling, in which a “Wheelie” and an able-bodied player are teamed. It’s lots of fun! Makos Swim Team (Ages 4-17)New swimmers are welcome year-round! The Makos practice four days a week and offer 4 different practice teams to meet most swimming abilities, practice times vary. The recreational aspect of the team brings fun, competitiveness, and friendships amongst the swimmers. All first time Makos will need to complete a swim team evaluation prior to registration.
