The exciting Gardens Splash & Dash event originally scheduled in July will now be on Sunday, September 25. Register your little athlete (youth born 2002-2012) by Tuesday, Sep. 20 for this year’s swim-run event. Res/NR Fee: $33/42. Register online or in person.

Concerned about the Zika Virus?

The City of Palm Beach Gardens has carefully been monitoring the Zika situation and is taking a proactive approach to ensure the safety of our community. Registration for Fall Classes is Open!

Registration for our Fall classes starting in September is open and ongoing. Registration may be done online or at any Recreation service desk. Types of classes that are being offered for youth and/or adults are dance, music, art, robotics, gymnastics, Karate, and fitness/wellness classes to name a few. Don’t wait until the first day of class to register! Sign up in advance so that classes don't get cancelled due to low enrollment!

GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club

The GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club will be celebrating 49 years of Volunteerism on Wednesday, September 21st at Lakeside Community Center (10410 N. Military Trail) at 7PM. Join them and find out what they do and who they help in our local community. There will be a large birthday cake to share with all. YOUTH CLASSES & PROGRAMS

Musikgarten

Sing with Me (15 months-3.5 year olds at 9am) & Wind Dancers (3-5 year olds at 9:45am) interactive music classes begin on Friday mornings starting September 16. This new parent and child class is an educational and fun way to spend time with your child. Each class is taught by fully licensed Musikgarten teacher, classically trained musician and early childhood educator, Jules Castro. Res/NR fee: $108/$135 for 12 weeks. There is an additional materials fee of $45 for a CD, parent activity book and instrument. More Information

Classes for Young Visual Artists

Mini Masters (3-5 year olds) are introduced to the idea that behind every painting, drawing, and sculpture, stands a great artist. Once inspired by the artist of the day, our “Mini Masters” create their own dynamic pieces of art. Wednesdays, Sep 7-Oct 19 at 3pm or 3:55pm, R/NR $84/$105. More Information

In Artist Studio, 5-11 year olds will create one-of-a-kind pieces based on great works of art, all while having an awesome time!  Mediums explored will include clay, watercolor, paint, pencils, pastels, as well as a wide variety of multimedia elements. Tuesdays, Sep 6-Oct 18 at 4pm or 5:15pm, R/NR $84/$105. Register online or in person.

Attention Technology Enthusiasts

Your child will learn to program the Bee-Bot to move around various challenges they create in the Bee-Bots Discovery class for 4-6 year olds. In the Lego Safari Robotics Discovery class, 7-11 year olds bring creatures to life as they build and program models with working motors and sensors. Both classes begin Friday, September 9, Bee-Bots from 3:15-4pm and Lego Safari from 4:15-5:15pm.  Register online or in person. More Information

ADULT CLASSES & PROGRAMS

Stretch ‘n Strengthen 

Coach Jake Jacobson is getting rave reviews for his highly successful workout classes for adults! All ages and fitness levels, from the gym rat to the sedentary, are invited to a FREE TRIAL CLASS. Monday and Wednesday mornings (classes for seniors) from 8:30-9:30am, Tuesday and Thursday nights (classes for adults) from 5:30-6:30pm, and Saturday mornings (more intensive classes for weekend warriors) 8:30-9:30am. Res/NR Fee: $7/$9 per class or $55/$69 for 10-visit pass. More Information

Karate For Juniors/Adults (and kids, too!)

Students ages 10 and up in this 90-minute class will develop strong fundamental karate techniques. Self-defense and effective karate technique are the main focus. Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:15-8:45pm, Sep 7-Oct 26.  Res/NR Fee: $105/$132. Classes also available for kids ages 7-9 from 6-6:45pm for $90/$113.

Welcome Back Bingo 

Burns Road Recreation Center will be hosting our Welcome Back Bingo for Adults/Seniors on Monday, September 12 and then Bingo continues through Monday, May 22, 2017. Your first visit is free! Res/NR Annual Fee $25/$50 or daily admission Res/NR $3/$5. Bingo is from 1-4pm, so arrive by 12:30pm to purchase your tickets.

Scrabble, Mah Jongg & Canasta

Do you want to play or learn how to play Scrabble, Mah Jongg and or Canasta? Check us out at the Lakeside Center from 1-5pm for Mah Jongg Games: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Mah Jongg: Lessons: Tuesdays; Scrabble: Wednesdays and Canasta on Thursdays. Mixed Doubles & Cookout!

Saturday, September 3, 10:30am-3:00pm – We had a good time on July 2, and expect to repeat the fun on Labor Day Weekend! Play will be in a 3-Round, 8-Game Pro-set format in ability groups of 9.0, 7.5 and 6.0 combined ratings. Trophies will be awarded to main-draw winners and finalists, and consolation main-draw winners. Hamburgers/hot dogs/salad/soft drinks follow play. (Players may bring alternate items to grill.) Sunday Pool Hours

It’s still very hot outside, so we’ve decided to reopen the play pools on Sundays through the end of September! Hours will be 1-4pm. View our schedule online for play and lap swim hours on other days of the week. Admission Fee: $3 Residents/$10 Non-Residents. 

Makos Swim Team 

Looking for a fun and healthy activity for your child? Do they love to swim or want to meet new friends?  If so, the Makos swim team is welcoming new swimmers, ages 4-17, of all skill levels to come check out the team. Last Group Swim Lessons of the Season

Keep up those skills you learned during the summer! The last session of group swimming lessons for infants, toddlers and children for the fall season takes place on Tuesdays & Thursdays, September 13-29. Registration is open and may be done online or in person at Burns Rd Rec Center.

The last session for beginner teens and adults runs on Saturdays, Sep 17-Oct 8. Check our website for a schedule and more details. Private lessons are also available Mondays-Thursdays, 3-6:30pm and Saturdays 8:30-11am every week on a limited basis.

Riverside Pizza Kit Fundraiser

The Riverside Youth Enrichment Center students will be participating in a Little Caesar’s Pizza Kit fundraiser beginning September 9th thru September 30th.
