Meet & Greet the Artists: Marilyn Liedman & Karen H. Salup Wednesday, January 17 | 6:00-7:30pm City Hall Lobby, 10500 N. Military Trail Exhibition: January 8 - February 22, 2018 | M-F, 8am-5pm
GardensArt presents “The Attraction of Opposites”, a two-person exhibition by artists Marilyn Liedman and Karen H. Salup. Working in watercolor, Liedman developed her skills as a plein air artist and considers painting on location the backbone of her current work. Recently, she has spent more time in the studio using some "alternative" techniques that have opened her style to include a more abstract perspective while still maintaining the integrity of the pure watercolor process.

Karen H. Salup’s large abstract paintings are mixed media on canvas. Using acrylic, watercolor and pastels, Salup creates a world that vibrates with bold colors and bright light paired with brushstrokes that evoke a strong sense of movement and energy. More Information

Tennis Hitting Frenzy & CardioExercise, Training, Sociability & Fun! Among the most popular Tennis Center offerings are Hitting Frenzy and Cardio. These are, for the most part, “drop-in,” classes. Players sign-in and pay, then go to the court for an hour or more of drills and games conducted by the pros. They are an outstanding way to get a tennis workout with a limited commitment of time. They are excellent for honing doubles skills and offer a chance to meet potential partners and opponents. Come early to avoid a sellout! (For 2-Hour Frenzies, W-F mornings, 8:30-10:30am, you may call 561-775-8277 to sign up in advance and hold your spot.)
Hitting Frenzy – No instruction, just feed, play and move. Usually on multiple courts by pro assignment according to ability. Assumes a skill level of at least 3.0 NTRP. Cardio – Limited to one court with a variety of abilities accommodated. Usually more instructional, with tips and an occasional extra ball given by a skilled pro. Great for players returning to the game. Skill level 2.5 or better.
There is at least one of these programs every day of the week at the Tennis Center. For schedules, see the Gardens Life brochure on page 19.
