Flashback to the 80’s with Gardens Movie Nights & Food Truck Bites, featuring the classic, “Back to the Future”. Food trucks open at 6:30pm and the complimentary movie follows at 8:15pm. Limited seating is available; blankets and lawn chairs are suggested. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved across the street to Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Rd. Gardens Splash & Dash Registration is Now Open!

Gardens Life BrochureThe June-August 2017 edition of the Gardens Life brochure listing summer classes, programs and events is currently available online or in print. The August-September edition will be available in mid-July. Download a copy or pick one up at any Recreation service desk.
Register for classes and programs online or in person. Don’t wait until the first day of class! Sign up in advance so classes don't get cancelled due to low enrollment.

Camp Gardens 2017This year’s summer camps have been awesome so far! We still have a few spaces left in our sports, cultural arts, science and aquatic camps, as well as openings in Classic Camp and the Community Service Experience on certain weeks. Cultural Arts Caravan – Spaces Still Available!July 3-7 – starts next week! (no camp Tuesday, July 4). This “traveling” summer camp is geared for art-minded kids, ages 9-14, and features trips each day to different cultural venues in Palm Beach County. Campers will experience engaging, hands-on art projects while working with professional artists in the community. Trips will include Uptown Art in Jupiter, Delray Beach Playhouse, Lighthouse Arts Center in Tequesta and even a ‘climb’ to the top of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse! Sketching on sight at the Juno Beach Pier and Loggerhead Marine Life Center will round off the week. Transportation is provided. Please bring lunch, snacks and drinks daily. Campers will be off-site from 9:30am-4:30pm daily. Before and aftercare from 7:30am-6pm is included. The cost of the camp is $225 for residents and $282 for non-residents of Palm Beach Gardens. Youth Dance Summer Classes
Our next session of summer recreational dance classes begins the week o July 10 and runs through August 12. We offer different levels of Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and Jazz & Contemporary, and even a “Leaps & Bounds” class for children as young as 3. Classes take place on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Oil Paint Along with Nancy Ages 18+ - Wednesday, July 19, 6:30-8:30pm – PLEASE REGISTER AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE. If you ever wanted to try oil painting but were afraid of the chemicals, try Water Mixable Oil Paints. These new oil paints are very environmentally friendly. “Paint and take” art workshops are all the rage and can be enjoyed by anyone…even if you can’t draw a stick figure! You can bring your favorite non-alcoholic beverage and a light snack, if you wish, and settle in for a couple of hours of color and wonder as you create a unique work of art. The instructor-led session is easy to follow and all supplies are provided, including canvas, paint, easel and brushes. You’ll leave with a finished painting and an experience you won’t soon forget! Independence Mixed Doubles and Cook-outSaturday, July 1, 10:45am-3pm - Join the fun! These events are growing in popularity and feature three rounds of 8-game Pro-set paired mixed doubles in ability-based groups. Trophies are awarded to main-draw winners and finalists, and to consolation winners. Update on Splash Playground RenovationDue to very unfortunate circumstances beyond our control, the Splash Playground will not be opening this summer. We are very disappointed and apologize for the inconvenience to your families. In the meantime, please enjoy our Play Pool complete with slide, diving board and rock wall and our Spray Pad, which is perfect for the little ones.

Splash Into the 4thCool off on a hot Fourth of July at the PBG Aquatic Complex on Tuesday, July 4th from 10am-4pm. Enjoy the diving board, slide and rock wall, let the little ones play in the spray play area, or swim a few laps in our lap pool. There will be music and fun activities for the kids. Makos Swim Team The swim team combines stroke refinement, drills, endurance training, and fun games to improve a swimmer’s overall swimming abilities in a fun, team environment. We compete against other teams in the South Florida Recreational Swim League. For those who are interested in the swim team, come and get evaluated by our swim coaching staff. Learn to Swim ProgramThe learn to swim program provides swim lessons for all levels and ages starting at 6 months old. The 3rd session of our Mon/Wed and Tue/Thu lessons will be held in the mornings and afternoons starting July 17th. Our Saturday classes include Adaptive Aquatics and Adult Beginners on July 8-29, as well as the next session of Parent and Tot lessons on July 22-August 26.
