SANTA'S MAILBOX November 30 – December 17 Burns Road Recreation Center, 4404 Burns Road Drop off your letters to Santa in our special holiday mailbox inside the Burns Road Recreation Center. Don’t forget to watch your mailbox at home for a reply from Santa! Note: to receive a letter back from Santa, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your child’s name on it or include an email address.

The City of Palm Beach Gardens is hosting a Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, February 23 at Burns Road Recreation Center from 9am-3pm. Showcase your specialty to people looking to improve their lifestyles. Vendor applications for this event are available until January 11, 2019. Each vendor receives one 10’ X 10’ space and your company logo or business name on our city website with a link to your website. RECREATION GIFT CARDSExperiential gifts are the latest trend! Recreation Gift Cards may be purchased at the Burns Road Recreation Center and PBG Tennis Center and used for class fees, pool admission fees, rentals and even snacks at the Snack Shack. It’s a great gift or stocking stuffer for the holidays!
PROGRAM REGISTRATIONStarting Wednesday, December 12th, register online or in person for new Winter/Spring classes and programs starting in January or later. Most classes have a minimum number of students that they need in order to run. Sign up in advance so they don’t get canceled due to low enrollment! SPECIAL LEISURE SERVICES HOLIDAY HOURSAll supervised Leisure Services facilities including Burns Road Recreation Center, Aquatic Complex, Tennis Center, Lakeside Center, Riverside Youth Enrichment Center and the Skate Park will be closed on Tuesday, December 25. GFWC PALM BEACH GARDENS WOMAN'S CLUB Wednesday, December 19
The GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club will hold a Holiday Party on December 19th at Paddy Mac's, starting at 7pm. Reservations are required. There will also be a silent Auction. GINGERBREAD KIDS | AGES 0-4Friday, December 14 | 10-11am Run! Run! Fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man! This wonderful event features the story of the Gingerbread Man along with crafts, activities, snacks and more, and will be held at Burns Road Recreation Center. Space is limited so don’t delay! HOLIDAY SCHOOL’S OUT CAMPSThe holidays are upon us and the kids will be out for break soon. We’ve got lots of fun camp activities for your K-8th grader from Dec. 24-Jan. 7. We will fill quickly, so register your school-aged child now! There are also sports camps for your sports-minded 2nd through 8th grader and Tennis camps for ages 4-17. Register online or in person. PBGYAA POP WARNERThe PBGYAA Jr. Varsity Pop Warner Team has advanced to the 2018 National Championships for the second year in a row! They are looking to defend their 2017 Superbowl title! USTA FLORIDA MEMBER ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR AWARD“We are Family” On receiving USTA Florida’s Outstanding Member Organization Award, we acknowledge the role that all our supporters have played. Your participation and support make the Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center a vibrant tennis hub! The management team pictured was at the awards presentation, but we are part of a larger team that includes: - Maintenance Techs, who keep our courts the best around.
- Front Desk Staff, who provide the helpful welcome for which the Center is known.
- Teaching Pros, who provide excellent group and private instruction, and are the pillars of our programming.
- The City of Palm Beach Gardens, whose IT and Public Works Departments provide prompt, expert responses in a variety of fields.
- Our Volunteers, who help us in so many ways.
We also thank Sherry Beckman, who nominated us and was our presenter at the awards ceremony. We were very honored!

HELPING PANHANDLE TENNIS RECOVER FROM MICHAEL USTA Florida has established a fund to help Panhandle tennis facilities recover from this fall’s terrible hurricane. As Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman-Douglas HS State Tournament Girls' Tennis Team demonstrates, tennis can help communities recover from devastating loss. LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION CLASSESHave you ever wanted to become knowledgeable on pool safety or become a certified lifeguard? If so, then use part of your holiday break to join our exciting Lifeguard Training Course for ages 15 and up. Learn all of the ins and outs of pool safety and how to put your training into action. The course will take place Thursday-Saturday, December 27-29 from 9am-4pm. There is also an Oxygen Training Course that takes place on Saturday, December 29 from 4-5pm. APPLY TO BECOME A LIFEGUARD AT PBG AQUATIC COMPLEXWe are seeking part-time Lifeguards to join our Team! Even though summer is over, we still have many aquatics programs happening throughout the year and we need positive, friendly lifeguards to keep those swimmers safe! STAY FIT WITH WATER AEROBICSWater aerobics classes with Rosalynn are a great way to increase muscle strength and flexibility and improve your overall health.
