GARDENSART PRESENTS “IN LIVING COLOR” A Solo Exhibition by Artist Donna Sallee
Now thru February 20, 2019 Burns Road Community Center, 4404 Burns Road
Donna Sallee's commissions, sprinkled through America, across the seas and on the seas (many of her more recent paintings have been for super yachts), include work in oils, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Color and nature are this versatile artist's passions. "Nature is my art," says Donna.

Camp Gardens Early RegistrationEarly registration for summer Classic Day Camps and Sports R Us Camps ONLY begins Thursday, February 7 at 8am. Registration may be done online or in person at any Recreation service desk. Open registration for ALL camps, including specialty and half-day camps, begins Thursday, March 7 at 8am.

CUPID’S CORNERParents and tots ages 1-4 will have a “lovely” time celebrating the onset of Valentine’s day on Friday, February 8 from 9:30-11am at Burns Road Community Center. DRAWING FUNDAMENTALS FOR ADULTS WITH CRAIG MCINNISThis outstanding instructor will teach you the basic elements of effective drawing or help you explore more advanced techniques and skills. P. Wooster stated, “Today was my first time at Craig McInnis’s Drawing Fundamentals class and I was so pleased with the instruction. Finally, I have found an instructor who can tell you what you need to do to make something look on your paper like it does on the reference drawing or the still life set up.” The next session takes place on Mondays, Feb 18-Mar 25 from 10am-Noon at Burns Road Community Center. AARP DRIVER SAFETY CLASSThe AARP Driver Safety program provides drivers 55 and over with a basic review of driving rules, covers new laws and teaches great driving safety tips. The next scheduled class is Wednesday, February 6, from 9am – 3pm at Burns Road Community Center. To register, call (561)630-1100, then bring a check made payable to AARP and your valid AARP card to receive a discount the day of your class. Fees are $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.

SPRING MAH JONGG TOURNEY/LUNCHEONBurns Road Community Center is the place to be for our Spring Mah Jongg Tourney/Luncheon on Tuesday, February 12 from 11am – 4pm. WHEELCHAIR TENNIS COMES TO PALM BEACH GARDENS!USPTA Pro Jim Tierney, a recognized expert in this field, will instruct Juniors 5:30-6:30pm and Adults 6:30-8:30pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25). The first lesson is free and each class after is only $10! Loaner chairs and racquets are available. Beginners are welcomed by this friendly group. Just come and join the fun! Mixed doubles players of many stripes will find opportunities at the Tennis Center: - USTA Non-advancing Mixed 65 & Over 8.0 league to play at Tennis Center at 1pm on eight Sunday afternoons beginning Sunday, February 3rd, for 3.5 or 4.0 skill level (NTRP). USTA membership or account # required. League # 1536427687. $40 Enroll online.

- In-house Mixed Leagues for Other Players (Under age 65, or outside the 65+ ability range). The Tennis Center will offer paired mixed leagues at two levels: 3.0-3.5 and 4.0-4.5. We envision 6 pairs per league to play a 5-week round-robin. In that case, per player fees would be $21/$53/$66 for PBGTC Passport Holder/PBG Resident/Non-Resident.

MAKOS SWIM TEAMIf you are looking for a children’s outdoor aerobic activity for ages 4-17, then the Makos Swim Team may be the perfect fit. Starting Monday, February 4, the Makos will start a new session and will have practices Monday-Thursday afternoons starting at 4:30pm. Competition and practice options are available.
