Sunday, March 3 - Celebrate Mardi Gras at the market! Get a taste of New Orleans from vendor Nancy’s Cajun Cookin’ as they feature a crawfish peeling demo.

Sunday, March 10 - Special viewing of the Florida Highwaymen paintings, followed by a reception from Noon-2pm at City Hall Lobby and Plaza.

GardensArt, a City of Palm Beach Gardens Rotating Art in Public Places program, presents this beautiful and historic exhibition of 25 original paintings. The City will celebrate the great talent of The Highwaymen with the following three art receptions held at City Hall Municipal Plaza. You can also meet artist, R.A. McLendon, a key member of The Highwaymen, who will be painting live on site:

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME

Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am on Sunday, March 10. This means we “Spring Forward” and lose an hour. Make sure you set those clocks one hour ahead of time before you go to bed so that you’re not late to The Gardens GreenMarket or wherever you may be going on Sunday morning!

GFWC PALM BEACH GARDENS WOMAN'S CLUB

Wednesday, March 20  |  7pm

Please join the GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club on March 20th and listen to Anne Noble as she talks about "The Lord's Place".  The Woman's Club will be collecting the hotel-size samples of shampoo, lotions, conditioners, soaps and small zippered cloth bags to give to the Lord's Place to be shared with the homeless in our community.  The meeting will start at 7pm at Lakeside Community Center, located at 10410 N. Military Trail. Refreshments will be served after the talk.  For additional information contact Robin Murphy at 561-762-1841.

Summer Camp Open Registration

Registration for all City of Palm Beach Gardens summer camps begins on Thursday, March 7. A "Play-Away" payment plan is available. Look for the Camp Gardens newsletter online or coming soon in print with a full listing of summer camps for ages 4-17 including sports, aquatics, classic day camp, art/dance/theatre, science and much more. More information on Camp Gardens

SCHOOL’S OUT SPRING BREAK CAMPS

Spring break is just around the corner March 18-25. We can keep your camper busy with the fun-filled School’s Out Classic, School’s Out Sports, and Predators Soccer camps. MAD SCIENCE PROGRAMS

Mad Science is bringing two exciting, really cool classes to the Burns Road Community Center. Check out “S.T.E.M.ulating Science” for 1st-5th graders on Wednesday afternoons and “Mission: Code” for 3rd-7th graders on Friday afternoons. Classes start the week of March 4, so sign up now! GIGGLES N GROOVIN

Your 2-5 year old will learn life lessons thru movin’ with Ms. Dez in her high energy class. The next session runs Tuesdays, March 26-May 21 at 9:30am. Resident/non-resident fees are $115/$138 for 9 weeks and include crafts, coloring sheets, a weekly parenting page and two take-home peel/place story boards.

“MARCH RADNESS”

Instead of March Madness, it’s “March Radness” at the PBG Skate Park! This awesome skate competition will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 10am to 2pm at the skate park at 10113 Plant Dr. There will be 3 skill level divisions from beginner to advanced. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each division and a highest ollie competition.  $15/per person entry fee and helmets are required; please register online. Refreshments will be provided for participants. ADULT / SENIORS LAKESIDE CLUB

Join the 55 and over Lakeside Club for only $30 per year for residents/$60 per year non-residents. Membership includes weekly activities and some special events.

AARP DRIVER SAFETY

The AARP program provides drivers 55 and over a basic review of driving rules, covers new laws and teaches great driving tips. Florida residents can expect a rebate on their insurance after taking this class on Wednesday, March 6 from 9am-3pm at Burns Road Community Center. To register, call 561-630-1100. AARP members $15/non-members $20 – a check made payable to AARP must be brought to the class.

SPRING CANASTA TOURNEY LUNCHEON

If you love Canasta, you will want to participate in our Canasta Tournament on Thursday, March 14 from 11am–4pm. Pre-registration is required no later than March 7. Lunch is provided. For more information, please call 561-630-1108.

FIRST ANNUAL PBGTC SPRING USTA WHEELCHAIR CHAMPIONSHIP

Fri-Sun, March 8-10 – Men’s/Women’s A, B, C  and Quad Singles. Friday night features a fun Up-and-Down Doubles round-robin: 1 able-bodied ($20) and 1 wheelchair player per team. Free unofficial Doubles Saturday afternoon. Register online to play or just come out to watch some exciting tennis!

SPRING MIXED DOUBLES AND LUNCH

Saturday, March 16, 10:30am-2:30pm – Adults and a few older, highly-skilled juniors play three eight-game pro-set matches in ability-based groups, then gather for pizza, salad and sociability. MAKOS SWIM TEAM IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW TEAMMATES!

If you are looking for a fun, outdoor aerobic activity for your child age 4-17, then the Makos Swim Team may be the perfect fit. The Makos Swim Team practices Monday-Thursday afternoons starting at 4:30pm. Competition options, variable practice days, and multiple levels are available. REGISTRATION FOR SPRING SWIM LESSONS STARTS MARCH 4

Get ready for spring and summer swimming and enhance your swimming skills with our Learn to Swim program. The Learn to Swim program provides swim lessons for all skill levels and ages starting at 6 months old.  Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays or Saturdays starting on March 25.  Resident/Non-Resident Fee: $60/$75 per session. Registration opens online or in person on March 4. If you’re not sure of your swim level, call 630-1126 to schedule a brief skills evaluation. VPK REGISTRATION

Riverside Youth Enrichment Center is now accepting registration for August 2019. There are a few open spaces in our VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) program available. CHILDREN’S ART EXHIBIT AND PERFORMANCE

Don’t miss our 5th Annual Children’s Art Exhibit, entitled “Our Favorite Books”, at the Burns Road Community Center from March 18 - May 1, 2019. This adorable exhibit features artwork from all ages of children at Riverside Youth Enrichment Center, as well as a reception and special performance from some of the children on Friday, March 29 from 6-7:30pm.
